3.5 stars.Was originally going to be a four star book but the ending was so abrupt, it knocked it down a bit for me. I wouldn't say I'm disappointed, necessarily. I loved the rawness and the originality. I love Samantha Young's writing and her ability to craft such memorable stories and characters. This hasn't deterred me from her work one bit, and I will eventually finish this series. But I guess reading some of her other books and falling in love with them had me a bit spoiled, and I didn't love this one as much as I was hoping I would.
